Alverda Hazzard Soles

Alverda Hazzard Soles, 81, of Saluda, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary Jefferies Hazzard. Alverda was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty plus years, Hugh S. Soles.

Alverda was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, Shanghai Virginia. She kept the books for her husband’s business and helped where needed. She was a devoted wife and the best mother that always supported her family, making sure they came first. She will always be in our hearts and forever missed until we meet again.

She is survived by her daughters, Joy Soles and Julie Soles as well as family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery, King & Queen County, VA on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday August 28, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Faulkner Funeral Home, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, VA
