Carl Brooks

December 31, 1969 — November 26, 2015

Carl “Buddy” Brooks, Jr., age 84, of Deltaville and a Korean War veteran went to be with the love of his life, Joy Campbell Brooks who preceded him in death 2007 after fifty-six years of marriage. He was the incredible force behind the move of the Lakeside Little League to Club Road and planned, bulldozed and built with three others what was to become quite a legacy for the boys of Lakeside where he was president for many years. He mentored many, was loved by all and always had time for a child. Survived by his son, David Brooks (Julie); a daughter, Sissy Womack (Mike); grandchildren, David, Charlie and Artie Brooks and Ashley Grace Womack.
