Dirphus Jenkins
April 4, 1939 — January 1, 2023
Dirphus McDowell Jenkins, age 84, passed away on January 1, 2023. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church. She was very active at church and was a member of the Sewing Circle as well as the Tuesday Prayer and Bible study group. Dirphus enjoyed taking walks, reading, working in the garden, sewing and helping her husband of 46 years with all kinds of projects.
In addition to her husband, Roy Allen Jenkins, she is survived by two daughters; Karen Black and Chayna Weinstein; step-son, Allen Jenkins and brother, Charles Thomas McDowell.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Hermitage Baptist Church with Pastor Joe McKnight officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that contributions be made to Hermitage Baptish Church, 94 Ware’s Bridge Rd. P.O. Box 190, Church View, VA 23032
