Donald Lee “Dinkey” White Sr., 87, of Mobjack, Virginia, passed away on February 21, 2026. Born on December 2, 1938, he was the only child of Floyd and Viola White. Dinkey spent many years as a long‑haul truck driver, with his wife by his side, traveling countless miles and forming friendships wherever the road took him. After retiring from trucking, he could be found on the East River and Mobjack Bay, tending to his crabbing business -a job he continued until the age of 85.
Dinkey had a great love for hunting, running dogs, and swapping stories with his many Hunt Club buddies and lifelong friends. Dinkey was truly one of a kind—an unforgettable character who left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His presence will be deeply missed and long remembered.
Dinkey was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved second wife of 45 years, Judy White.
He is survived by his children, Donald White Jr. (Lynn), Teresa Machen (Chuck), William White (Pam), Arlene Smith, and Phyllis Fleming (Jimmy); as well as his stepchildren: Mike Coulby, Catherine Stoner (Dave), and David Coulby (Pam). He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Providence Cemetery at a future date. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, is assisting the family.
