Edward "Ed" Ransone

RANSONE, Edward S. "Ed" Jr., age 81, of Millers Tavern, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in Mechanicsville. Ed enjoyed life to the fullest and loved traveling, hunting and playing cards with friends. He was a lifelong farmer, member and Past Master of Arlington Masonic Lodge #102, member and Past High Priest of Urbanna Royal Arch Chapter #59, member of the Richmond Scottish Rites, ACCA Temple Shriners, and member and past president of the Upper King and Queen Ruritan Club. He was preceded by his wife, Sally Mullen Ransone. He is survived by his three sons, Edward Saunders "Skip" Ransone, III (Sue), William Mullen "Bill" Ransone (Dale), Christopher Todd Ransone (Margaret); brothers, James Armistead Ransone, John Glenmore “Glen” Ransone (Anne); sister, Mary Carter Edwards (Travers). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Laura Brooke Bowles, Emily Stewart Ransone, Ann Morgan Ransone, and Christopher Bevan Ransone; and two great-grandchildren, Libby Marie Bowles and Charles Philips Bowles, V. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock, with a Masonic service starting at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Beale Memorial Baptist Church, with a reception following.
