Eleanor Morgan

Eleanor Diggs Morgan, 96, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023. Eleanor graduated from Mathews High School and was the last living member of her graduating class. She was a long-time member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Eleanor loved her home and loved to work outside with her flowers and cutting grass. She also loved to cook, sew for her family and make Christmas and birthdays fun for everyone. She so loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71years, Gerald L. Morgan, Sr.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Jerry Morgan (Cindy), Keith Morgan, Chris Morgan (Debbie) and her daughter, Lisa Temple. She was a grandmother to 6, a great-grandmother to 7, and a favorite aunt to many.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation-Mathews for their compassionate care and support.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home chapel following the visitation at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Susan, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to be made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, Virginia 23109.
