Emily Brooks

Emily ”Tina” Brooks, age 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9th, 2015, surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Brooks Sr., and her parents, Archie Linwood Rainier and Mary Frances Bew. Also, preceding her in death were her siblings Mary Frances Rainier, Archie Linwood Rainier Jr., Sarah Elizabeth Brooks, and Macey Marie Coleman, and one grandson, Brian Brooks Jr. She is survived by her companion of 9 years, Larry Ingram and his son Vashon (Lisa); Daughters, Teresa McLaurin (Trey), Margie Butler (Josh), and Elva Brooks; Sons, Carter Brooks Jr (Michele)., and Brian Brooks, Sr. (Crystal).; Sisters, Ethel Mullins, Leslie Iannaggi (Thomas), Brenda Philbates (George), and Mary Webb (Brian); Brothers, Jimmy Bristow (Beverly) and Jesse Rainier; Two Grandchildren, Brianna Dunlevy and Peyton Brooks; One Great Grandchild, Ar’mahni Dunlevy-Davis. She is also survived by her many beloved nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends that she met over her many years at The Country Market in Shacklefords, Va. A memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 21st, at 2:00 pm., at The West Point Christian Church,, located at 290 Euclid Blvd., West Point, Va. 23181.
