Eugene (Gene) Rainier, Jr., age 60, of Topping, Va., died March, 20, 2023. Mr. Rainier recently retired from Newport News Shipbuilding – Huntington Ingalls Industries as a pipe fitter and welder.
Gene was a true waterman and loved being on the water more than anything. He also enjoyed fishing, playing his guitars, working on cars, riding his motorcycle, kayaking, wood working and was a wonderful cook. His family enjoyed many of his famous signature dishes.
Mr. Rainier is survived by his wife, Cindie Rainier; son, Christopher Jones (Karen); granddaughter, Faith Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda is assisting the family.
