Fielding "Kim" Dickinson

Fielding Lewis (Kim) Dickinson III passed away at his home in Loretto VA on Wednesday Dec 1st. He was preceded in death by his parents Fielding and Diana Dickinson and his brother Gerard Dickinson. He is survived by his four children Gerrard A Dickinson (Sally), Cameron Dickinson, Rebecca Hundley (Chris), and Fielding Dickinson IV (Kate); as well as his former wife Myra Dickinson; and sister, Lisa Dickinson Mountcastle. Kim is also survived by seven beloved grandchildren.

Born in Washington DC on August 3rd 1951, he attended St Christophers School in Richmond as well as Hampden Sydney College where he made many lifelong friends. He was a farmer and waterman as well as an outdoorsman and self-proclaimed nature lover. He spent many hours on Wheatland his family farm watching the wildlife, especially the waterfowl that he loved so much, and keeping up with the farming as well. He also enjoyed reading and writing very much and spent much of his free time later in life immersed in Natural History books from his library and writing short stories about rural life during his youth.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at Vauters Episcopal Church, Loretto, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Vauters Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 154, Champlain, VA 22438.
