James "Jimmy" Elliott, Jr.

James “Jimmy” H. Elliott Jr., 82 of Laneview, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. “Julyman” was an avid foxhunter whose favorite pastime was listening to the sound of the hounds running. If you didn’t find him with his hunting buddies, you were sure to see him travelling around in his parts truck. Jimmy was the owner of Jimmy’s Auto Parts for 45 years. He also loved any kind of racing and enjoyed listening to music with his many friends. Jimmy was also a faithful member of Glebe Landing Baptist Church.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Elliott Sr. and Ruth Elliott, and his brother Walter Payne Elliott.

 He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Elliott, daughter, Yvonne Hall (Brad); daughter, Teresa Whitlock (Charles); brother, Richard Elliott (Lorraine); grandchildren, Chad Hall (Melissa), Christopher Hall, Amanda Whitlock and Cliff Whitlock. 

 A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Glebe Landing Baptist Church, 1439 Glebe Landing Rd, Laneview, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks – Bristow Chapel, 206 N. Church St., Tappahannock VA.
