James Everett “Jimmy” Hall, 72, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 6, 1954, in Mathews, Virginia, Jimmy was the son of John Everett Brown Hall and Mary Elizabeth Hall. He spent his early years in Mathews before moving to Gloucester, where he graduated from Gloucester High School. Jimmy was widely known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and generous spirit. He left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jimmy was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Mathews Baptist Church, where his faith was an important foundation in his life and a guiding influence on his character and relationships.

Jimmy built a successful career as a Sales Manager at Ocean Products Research Inc., where he worked for 52 years and demonstrated unwavering dedication. His commitment and leadership eventually led him to become part-owner of the company. Beyond his professional life, Jimmy found great joy in rabbit hunting, gardening, and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He especially treasured attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a proud member of the Tidewater Beagle Club and the North End Hunt Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Everett Brown Hall and Mary Elizabeth Hall.

Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Karen Callis Hall; his sons, Chris Hall (Suzanne) and Jason Hall (Lindsay); his daughter, Andrea Robins (Chris); and his cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Kenleigh, Mackena, Grace, and Layne Hall, and Bryce, Logan, and Cohen Robins. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lynne Stairs; his sisters-in-law, Faye Carlton (John) and Leilani Callis-Keiser (David); his niece, Valinda Loudin (Josh); and his nephews, John Carlton (Laura) and Rob Keiser (Christine).

A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Mathews Baptist Church, P.O. Box 8, Hudgins, VA. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Margaret Tajak and the compassionate medical staff of the CCU, GenSurg, and CVT units at Riverside Regional Medical Center for their exceptional care and support. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews is assisting the family.
