Janelle Sams

Janelle Sams, 69, of Tappahannock, Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025.

She is survived by her three loving children, David Sams (Cyndi), of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Heather Stull (Brad), of Parkersburg, WV, and Brian “Bo” Sams of Parkersburg, WV; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Her partner, Ashby Swann “Bubby”; her siblings Byron Adams (Michelle Dunaway), Charles Adams (Norma), Anne Waite (James), Lisa Mace (Donald), Robin Betts (Dan), and Phillip Adams (Pam), and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Barnhart, her father, George Barnhart, and her brother, Jesse Adams.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
