With deep sadness, we share the unexpected passing of Jennifer French on Friday, May 9, 2025. Jennifer was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend whose bright pink spirit touched the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Theda “Sissy” Pugh; paternal grandparents, Jackie Edwards and Henry “Bubba” French; and her cherished best friend, Misty Potter.
Jennifer is lovingly survived by her daughter, Myleigh Sikora, who was the greatest joy of her life; her mother, Toni White (David); her father, Kevin French (Lena); her sister, Monica Walden (David Cade); her nephew, Levi Cade; and her nieces, Willow and Paisley Cade; and her step-grandfather Paul Grant (Annette). As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind a close circle of lifelong friends who meant the world to her.
Born in New Bern, North Carolina, while her father served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Jennifer spent most of her life in Virginia’s Middle Peninsula, where she raised her daughter. She was known for her love of shopping trips with her mom, her ever-growing collection of Funko Pop! figures, and the time she spent laughing with her closest friends. Jennifer had a deep love for animals and was always happiest when surrounded by those she loved most.
A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held at a later date with family and close friends. In honor of her love for animals, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Middlesex County Animal Shelter or the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.
Please consider sharing a fond memory or story of Jennifer, whose warmth and laughter will be forever remembered.
Faulkner Funeral Home, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda is assisting the family.
