Jesse Starnes Lockaby, Jr.

Jesse Starnes Lockaby Jr., Lt. Colonel, U.S. Army-retired, 92, of Mathews, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024.Colonel Lockaby was a native of North Carolina and graduated from Davidson College. He resided in Mathews since 1973 and was a member and former vestryman of Kingston Episcopal Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Frank Lockaby.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, followed by a graveside committal service with military honors. A reception will follow at Kingston Parish.
