John Bunsavage

Mr. John Edward Bunsavage, age 83, passed away on July 25, 2023, at his home on Urbanna Creek, Saluda, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Albert Bunsavage and Anna Marie Kulokas of Shenandoah Heights, Pennsylvania, a grand mother-in-law, Myrtle Coates Rowe of Glass, VA. and a sister, Patricia Murphy of Fort Piece, Florida.

Mr. Bunsavage is survived by his wife, Sylvia Rowe Bunsavage; his children, John Steffan Bunsavage of Richmond, Virginia and Bonnie Lynne Bunsavage Williams of Portland, Oregon; sister, Janet Stepulaitis (Joe) of Giardville, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, a niece, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Bunsavage received his undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon College and later received a graduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Bunsavage taught secondary mathematics and coached basketball for over three decades in both Chesterfield County and the City of Richmond.

Of the many platitudes he encountered, Mr. Bunsavage was most amused by two in particular: If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time. Also: What part of NO do you not understand?

As per Mr. Bunsavages wishes, no formal services will take place, but thoughts and prayers are always appreciated.
