Kathleen Ruark

Kathleen Keefe Ruark of Urbanna, VA was a caring wife, mother, sister and friend.
She left this world suddenly on September 19th, 2022 at age 53.
Kathy was raised in Pasadena, Maryland by John and Patricia Keefe along with her siblings John, Don and Carol. She was lucky to find and marry Rufus H. Ruark, Jr. in 1994 and moved to Virginia. Together they had three children Jack, Cole and Delaney.
She devoted her life to her children and her community. Kathy was the woman behind the curtain in so many places at Middlesex County Public Schools. From running the Booster Club, to coaching cheerleading, Lego League and Odyssey of the Mind, to troubleshooting technology, to Facebook posting--she did it all. This was not for credit or attention but because of her genuine love of MCPS and its students.
She will be missed by her Keefe family, her Ruark family: mother-in-law Diane, and sisters-in-law Sheryl, Cindy, and Michelle, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 24th at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Middlesex County Athletic Boosters c/o C&F Bank, PO Box 464, Saluda, VA 23149 or in-person at any C&F bank location. Donations may also be made directly to Middlesex High School, FBO MHS Athletic Boosters Club, PO Box 206, Saluda, VA 23149.
