Kay Frances Traband passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born on June 15, 1937, she lived a full and vibrant life centered around the people she loved most—her family. She found great joy in traveling, sharing seafood meals, gathering with loved ones, and enjoying the occasional cocktail while telling stories and creating memories.
She was the heart of a large and loving family and treasured every opportunity to spend time together. Her warmth, laughter, and welcoming spirit made family gatherings special and unforgettable.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Tom Traband, parents Florence and Francis Jones, brother Robert Jones, daughter Pam Furr and granddaughter Rusty Hill
She is survived by her children, Greg Polychrones (Debbie), Chris Polychrones (Karie), and Beth Polychrones (Alex Escobar), along with grandchildren Carrie Polychrones, Dawn Farrell (Sean), William Pullman (Starr), Michael Pullman (Jessica), Nick Pullman (Carrie), Jason Polychrones, Payton Polychrones (Asheli), Joshua Polychrones (Ruth), Christian Polychrones, Gabriel Polychrones and many, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Her life was a reminder to cherish family, celebrate the little moments, and enjoy time spent together. She will be remembered for her love, her spirit, and the many memories she leaves behind.
In accordance to her wishes a celebration of her life will be conducted at a future date
