Martha Brooks Hall

Martha Ellen Brooks Hall, 59, of Mathews Virginia passed away at Riverside Convalescent Center in Mathews on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Martha was born on April 13, 1963, to Hugh and Sara Ann Brooks of Mathews. She graduated from Mathews High School in 1981. She continued her education and became a CNA for a period of time. She was later employed by several local businesses, including Best Value Supermarket, where she enjoyed her interactions with public. She found great joy attending church services, singing in the choir, and later joined Mathews Baptist Church. She had a general love of music and never saw a frog she didn’t like.

Martha is preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her loving parents, Hugh and Sara Ann Brooks of Mathews; her sister Christina Davis (Jerry) of Gloucester; nieces Hannah and Natalie Davis; and numerous aunts and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, followed by a private family entombment service at Windsor Gardens Cemetery & Mausoleum, Dutton.

A reception will be held at Salem United Methodist Church following the entombment. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8th at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Riverside Convalescent Center in Mathews as well as Hospice for their loving care and support during this difficult time.
