Mary L. Greber

Mary L. Greber, 90, of Essex County, Virginia, was born in Essex County on August 7, 1936, and returned home to our dear Heavenly Father on August 14, 2026. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant so much to her. She was a longtime and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found joy in her faith and in serving others. Mary had a kind and generous heart, and her compassion, warmth, and willingness to help those around her touched many lives.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William M. Greber. Her family finds comfort in the thought of their sweet reunion and in knowing that she has returned home to her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her sister, Laura M. Starr of Tappahannock, VA; her sons, Michael (Pam) Greber of Tappahannock, VA, and Adrian (Lisa) Greber of Stanley, VA; her daughters, Debbie Akers and Kristie Greber, both of Tappahannock,VA; her four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to her life.

Although Mary will be deeply missed, her faith, kindness, service to others, and the many cherished memories she leaves behind will continue to touch the lives of those who knew and loved her. May we carry her memory forever in their hearts, as this goodbye is not forever, but simply until we meet again.

The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mary’s caregiver, Darlene London, for the compassion, companionship, and attentive care she provided to Mary. Her kindness and dedication meant a great deal to Mary and her family.

The Marks Bristow Funeral Home in Tappahannock, VA is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 20th, 2026, at Faulkner Funeral Home, 206 N. Church Lane, Tappahannock, VA 22560. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM, with interment immediately afterward at The Essex Cemetery in Tappahannock, VA.
