Misty Carter Brann

Misty Carter Brann, 53, of Tappahannock, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was a dedicated mother, nurse, and friend. Misty loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at the beach. She had a contagious laugh. Misty loved looking her best, even for a quick trip to town and was never seen without makeup and a full set of nails. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Carter; mother, Cheryl Stults; stepfather, Harold Stults; and brother, Douglas “Floyd” Carter. 

Misty is survived by her children, Carter Brann and Brooklyn Brann; their father, David Brann; their grandmother, Charlotte Brann; close friends, Angela Christopher, Betci Pierson, Lisa Manley-Fowlkes, and a whole host of aunts, uncles, and close friends. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the “Brann Children Fund” set up for Misty’s children, at Atlantic Union Bank, P.O. Box 1010, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
