Nancy Jane Taylor, 87, of Dunnsville, Virginia, passed away on Friday 25, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Wilbert Taylor. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Taylor of Dunnsville, Debra Jones of Dunnsville; her son, Franklin Worrell of Glen Allen; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Nancy had special hands helping her over the last few months and weeks. Special thank you to the ACG Hospice Team, and a super special thank you to Brittany and Megan. Over the years, there has also been special people in Nancy’s life proving that family doesn’t have to be blood. Thank you Joe and Sherri. Nancy, a city girl from Portsmouth, found her country man and marine, who was the love of her life and married in 1966, making home down on the farm in Dunnsville. Nancy had lots to do, plus raising her two kids. In 1967, Nancy and Jim had a baby girl, so there was never a dull moment. Nancy, being the person she was, still had time to lend a helping hand. Nancy had a soft way about herself, but don’t keep pushing the wrong buttons. Nancy lost her love in May of 2021. She missed Jim so much, she would say if Jim were here. Nancy took comfort in talking about Jim. She enjoyed listening to Ernest Tubb, Elvis, and her favorite song by Bill Anderson, “Still.”
