Patricia Moore Brenzovich

Patricia “Pat” Moore Brenzovich, age 70, of Tappahannock, born December 10, 1953, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday June 3, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.  Pat’s fighting spirit and remarkable strength was endured throughout her treatment for cancer. Pat’s unwavering faith enabled her to undergo the trials and tribulations endured on this side of eternity.

A native of Essex County, Pat graduated from Essex High School in 1972, and later that same year she met the man she would marry. Pat met Joe while he was working at the Tappahannock Airport. They didn’t need long to know they would live the rest of their lives together and married on October 20, 1973. Their greatest accomplishment will always be their son, James Michael “Jay” who was born in 1975.

Pat worked various jobs before finding her career job. She joined the Tappahannock VDOT team in 1985, retiring in 2005 after 20 years. Pat enjoyed the camaraderie of the team, which brought her great joy. She enjoyed keeping “her men” in line, always the calm voice on the other side of the radio during a snowstorm or whenever they needed her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James F. “Jimmy” and Maggie Davis “Jane” Moore, of Tappahannock.

In addition to her loving and devoted husband, Joe, and her cherished son, Jay, survivors include her adored siblings, Suzanne M. “Sue” Swann and James F. “Frankie” Moore (Edie). Pat has always cherished her nieces, Suzette Conrad (Darron), Whitney and Ashley Moore, and nephew Jarrett “Rusty” Swann (April) and her great niece, Arrybella Moore Siddons, and nephews Hunter Elliott and Bryce Owen Swann, along with many other family members.

Pat loved her family which included her Church family at Howertons Baptist. Remembrances in her name may be made to the Howertons Baptist Cemetery Fund, 3508 Howerton Rd, Dunnsville, VA 22454.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Howertons Baptist Church, Dunnsville, VA with the service following at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Randy Cooksey officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are James “Frankie” Moore, Jarrett “Rusty” Swann, Hunter Swann, Bryce Swann, Darron Conrad and Michael “Mike” Walter.
