On Sunday, June 28, 2026, Patricia “Pat” Ann Jones (Hume) went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Warrenton, Virginia on January 20, 1949, Pat was raised in Culpeper, Virginia and was a 1967 graduate of Culpeper High School.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Willie and Gertrude Hume, her brothers Donald Hume and Willie Hume, and her sisters Lou Hume Ward, Dee Hume, and a twin sister lost at birth.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 58 years, John O. Jones, her three sons Adrian (Leigh Anne), Benny (Jennifer), Clinton (Marisa), nine grandchildren (Avery, Landen, Addison, Willow, Gavin, Grayson, Carmine, Lona, and Sicily), and three great-grandchildren (Daxton, Reyleigh, and Layken). Pat's most treasured roles on this earth were wife, mother, and “Nanny.” She poured all her time and love into her family, raising her boys and helping raise her grandkids. Pat loved to read, work on puzzles, sew, and play games with her beloved family. In addition, Pat was a devoted member of several Assembly of God churches, serving as secretary and treasurer during her memberships. With both her family and church family, she was known for her patience and kindness.
Funeral services will be held at Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel in Tappahannock, Virginia on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with the wake held at 10:00 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial services will be held at the Culpeper National Cemetery on Thursday, July 2, at 11:00 a.m.
