Patricia "Pat" Scates

Patricia “Pat” D. Scates of Dunnsville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026. She enjoyed camping, the mountains, and adored her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie L. Davis, her father, Charles A. Davis, and her second husband, Jiles M. Scates. 

She is survived by her children, Jay Atkins, Hollie Atkins Foster; her grandchildren, Corinne, Ainsley, Logan, Lily, Tyler, and Casey; her partner, Keith Morris, and her beloved cat, Rudy. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18th, 2026 from 1-2:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock, Virginia. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Essex Cemetery.
