Robert "Wayne" Morgan

Robert “Wayne” Morgan, 75, of Mathews, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 surrounded by his family. Wayne was a member of Bethel Church of Mathews. He worked as a tugboat engineer for McAllister Towing for many years.

He is predeceased by his parents, Leland and Marjorie Morgan and a brother, Eddie Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Morgan; daughter, Trish Rankin (Jim); son, Robert Morgan (Aimee); step-daughters, Amanda Wingfield (Craig) and Christina Diggs; 9 grandchildren, Annabelle, Addison, James, Abby, Avery, Jaden, Ryan, Kaylee, and Rylee; brother, David Morgan (Anne) and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Church of Mathews, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Milford Cemetery, and friends are welcome to join the family with a reception at Bethel Church of Mathews immediately after.
