Robert Lee Voth, born August 16, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA., to Robert William Voth and LaVeria Nagel Voth, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jeanine Gisvold. He grew up in Placerville, CA., attended Lodi Seventh-Day Adventist Academy and worked in the family business as a mortician in Placerville until 1969 when he moved his family to San Francisco. He studied at San Francisco State University and graduated with a BS in business in 1972 while also working at Mount Zion Hospital in the accounting department.

In 1974, he moved his family to El Dorado Hills to be closer to additional family members. He worked at Eskaton Healthcare, as Controller and continued on to serve as their Vice President of Finance. While working there, he received his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1976.

In 1984, he moved to Mill Valley, CA., where he worked at Marin General Hospital serving as their Vice President of Finance. There he met Jeanine Gisvold, and they married in March of 1985. He also worked at Coopers & Lybrand in San Franciso ultimately becoming a partner.

Bob loved to be on the water and spent much of his spare time boating on San Francisco Bay. He always had a dream of “going out the Golden Gate and turning left”.

In 1995, that dream came true. He retired and he, Jeanine and their two West Highland Terriers traveled through Mexico and the Panama Canal to the East Coast on their 62ft cruiser. They fell in love with that side of the country and its distinctive seasons. They drove up the coast from Florida and happened upon the small town of Mathews, VA., where they purchased Weston Hall on the East River. During his time in Mathews, he purchased and rehabilitated a number of buildings and was involved in the restaurant business, including Dolls & Deli and Daffodils.

He also owned homes on Grand Bahama Island and Colorado Springs, CO.

In 2023, he met, fell in love with, and married his wife, Terry. He is survived by his wife; sister, Lois Roberts; daughters, Lisa Voth and Dena Voth; stepson, Marc Gisvold; granddaughter, Jessica and his two best buddies, his grandson Aaroh and furry companion, Mattie.

Memorial services will be held privately.
