Roland Daniel

Roland Perry Daniel, age 81 of Jamaica, a retired Naval Weapons Station employee in Yorktown, died Friday, March 16, 2012.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the former Bethel United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey Lee and Temple T. Daniel.  He is survived by his faithful wife and partner of 54 years, Kathryn W. Daniel; 2 sons, Harvey Lee Daniel (Cheri) of Jamaica and Michael Wayne Daniel of Stormont; 5 grandchildren, Kathryn Hubbard (Billy), Sarah, Mickey, Brooke and Macie Daniel and 1 great granddaughter, Taylor Marie Hubbard. Roland was a great provider to his family and friends, avid gardener, sharing his vegetables with his many neighbors.  He also enjoyed attending the many churches in the area.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 19th, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Saluda.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon Monday until service time at the funeral home. Interment Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Jamaica.  A reception will be held following the service at Glebe Landing Baptist Church in the fellowship hall at Laneview.
