Rosie Ann Milby

Rosie Ann Milby passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at 12:45 p.m., with her husband, John, by her side, holding her hand until she took her final breath.

Born May 1, 1961, Rosie proudly served nearly 11 years in the United States Army. She was strong, independent, funny, loving, and unforgettable—a woman whose personality and spirit left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Rosie was a devoted mother to Ashley and Angie, a loving GiGi to Waylon and Stephen, and was deeply loved by John's son, David, and granddaughter, Marlee. She also shared a special bond with John's parents, David and Patricia, who were an important part of Rosie and John's everyday life and family.

Rosie met John in July 2008, and they married on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2009. Together they spent more than 17 years building what they affectionately called their Rockstar life. To John, Rosie was more than his wife, she was his best friend, his baby doll, and his Rockstar Queen.

After being diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in July 2025, Rosie faced an incredibly difficult year with remarkable strength. During her final days, family, friends, nurses, hospital staff, and ministers surrounded her with an extraordinary outpouring of love and prayer reflection of just how many lives Rosie touched.

Rosie wished to be cremated. John will keep her ashes with him, and when his own journey is complete, their ashes will be placed together, just as she wanted.

Rosie was loved deeply, she knew she was loved, and she will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Rockstar Queen. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, 303 Forest Chapel Road, Saluda, Virginia 23149.
