Ruth Ambrose

December 31, 1969 — June 9, 2021

God has called another Angel home, Ruth Scott Ambrose passed away at home surrounded by her husband, kids and family after a long fight with kidney failure and dialysis. She never stopped fighting but the illness was stronger. Ruth was a stay at home mom raising 5 kids whom she loved and always let them know it. She will always be loved by her husband and kids. She can spread her wings and fly and be the Angel we all know she was.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 57 years, William F. Ambrose; her children Robert Ambrose (Joyce Yeatman), Virginia Potter (Robert Potter) Tammy Tate (Troy Tate), Tony Ambrose, Charles Ambrose (Ruth); six grandchildren Bonnie Self (Mike), Troy Tate Jr. (Melissa), Samantha Dixon (Quince), John Potter, Tony Stone and Ruth Ambrose; three great-grandchildren Ethan Self, Jace Dixon and Lila Tate; brother Robert Scott, and sister Bonnie Smith.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 in the Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. Interment will follow in Essex Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
