Sandra M. Simmermon

Sandra Morgan Simmermon, 81, of Hague, VA passed away on Friday,

May 31, 2024.

 

Sandra Lee Morgan was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 26, 1943,

to Grover and June Anne Morgan. She attended Neshaminy High

School in Langhorn, PA and graduated in 1960. Sandy met the love of

her life Charles Curtis Simmermon, Jr. on July 1, 1962, and they married

on February 23, 1963. Chuck’s career took the family all over the

country with homes in Delaware, Oklahoma, Colorado, Washington and

then finally settling back on the east coast in Pennsylvania, where they

enjoyed their retirement years. Chuck and Sandy were active members

of the Masonic community and Sandy was a member of the Pinckney

Chapter #145, Order of the Eastern Star. Chuck and Sandy enjoyed 53

years of marriage until his passing in 2016.

 

Sandy is survived by children: Chadd Simmermon (Sarah Brown), Lisa

Smego and Stephanie Wolfe (Scott Wolfe); stepdaughter, Suzanne

Hickey (Kevin Hickey); grandchildrenHannah Simmermon Judd, Gage

Smego, Quinne Smego, Eric Wolfe, Jeremy Wolfe and Annalise Wolfe,

Caitlin Hickey Martin (Chris Martin) and Emily Hickey Jacques (Chris

Jacques); great grandsons, Henry Judd and Luca Martin; sister, Wendy

Morgan Rehfuss and two nieces.

 

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband

of 53 years, Charles Curtis Simmermon, Jr.; son-in-law, Shawn Smego

and her brother-in-law, George Rehfuss.

 

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, Virginia is assisting the family.
