Sherwood Eugene Foster, 79, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Sherwood was a tankerman for Allied Transportation, and he served in Vietnam as a sniper.
He was predeceased by his parents, Virgil and Adelaide Foster; two brothers, Cecil and Shelton Foster.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Foster (Roxie) and Anthony Foster (Christina); granddaughters, Kayla and Chloe Foster; and a sister, Brenda Sue Robbins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, followed by a memorial service in the funeral home chapel.
