Simon Lee Roy Hix

Simon Lee Roy (Leroy) Hix 86, of Rappahannock Estates in Dunnsville, VA Passed away April 21, 2026.

Born January 18, 1940 in Cumberland County, VA to Frank and Leona Hix. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his wife Janice Hix and brother David Hix.

He is survived by his step-son Charles (Buck) Reuss, his wife Cindy and Granddaughter Kelly Lazaro; nephews David Lee Hix, Franklin Hix, Robert Hix, Niece Janet Faye Hix-Gillis and their families. Also, his devoted friends Ed and Patsy Robinson, Gene and Jeanette Snow, Donald Jackson and Monica Covey, Shirley Woods, Bobby King and Herbert Schools. He was a life-long carpenter and mechanic who could fix anything and an avid race fan and competitor.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2026 6-8 pm, and the funeral service will be on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 10 am; all to take place at Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, at 206 North Church Lane, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
