Wallace Calvin Shockley, 92, of Mathews, Virginia went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehab-Mathews. He graduated from Mathews High School and served in the United States Coast Guard. He then worked for the A & P grocery store where he retired as assistant manager. Calvin was a devoted Christian who loved gardening, singing, farm animals, pottery, and hunting.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan, Virginia. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews is assisting the family.
