Willard Hudgins

Willard Rayfield “Buddy” Hudgins III, 76, of Quinton, Virginia passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of TKD and a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. He received his undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University, and his graduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Will was listed in the “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” and a lifelong educator.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Ingram Hudgins; a son, Jonathan Walker Hudgins; a sister, Linda Hudgins Lawrence and a loving grand-dog, Sammy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Mathews Baptist Church, Hudgins, Virginia with burial to follow in H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers please donate school supplies to your local elementary school. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family.
