IN LOVING MEMORY OF

William Lewis

Davis

Obituary

William L. Davis, 83, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. He was born on January 8, 1943, to Walter and Dorothy Davis, who preceded him in death.

William, known to many as “Bill,” proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a reflection of his strength, dedication, and commitment—qualities he carried throughout his life.

He married the love of his life, Charlotte J. Davis, in 1982, and together they shared 43 years of love, commitment, and partnership.

He was a devoted husband and a steady, loving presence for his family. Bill was thought highly of by all who knew him. His family, friends, and community spoke of him with deep respect and admiration. He was also a man of God, and his faith was an important part of who he was.

Bill was a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did. He worked at the funeral home, where his dedication and strong work ethic reflected the kind of man he was.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte J. Davis; his sister, Shirley Long; his step-son, Louis Vanlandingham and wife, Arlene; his granddaughter, Chasity Tate (known as his “Boo-Boo”) and husband Chawn); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Kayla Vanlandingham, Sophia Tate, and Chawn Tate; his nieces and nephews, Karen Long, Scot Long, Rob Barrow, and Chris Barrow, along with extended family who will miss him dearly, and his dear friend, Kevin Hindle (Heather).

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of strength, love, faith, and dedication will live on through his family for generations to come. He will always be remembered as a man who showed up, worked hard, and loved his family deeply.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, Saluda.

The Faulkner Funeral Home family sends their condolences to Bill’s family. He will be greatly missed by his coworkers and the communities in which he served.
