Wynell Ashlock Thimsen

Hazel Wynell Ashlock Thimsen, age 85, was born December 25, 1938, in Celina, Tennessee, to Marvin and Lucy Ashlock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Geneva Johnson and Vonda Cherry, brother, Robert Ashlock and twin brother Durell Ashlock. 

Wynell is survived by her husband, Gary Thimsen and sister, Joyce Lacy, several nieces, nephews, and lots of friends. 

She worked for Holly Creek Resort in Celina Tennessee, Montaldo’s in Richmond, VA, Brooks Fashions in North Carolina, The Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and the thrift store in Urbanna, VA.

She was a faithful member of the Gloucester Church of Christ and also attended Cold Harbor Road Church of Christ in Mechanicsville, VA. Where she also helped her sister, Joyce, with the breakfast preparation for the yearly lectureship.

She was loved by all who knew her and will truly be missed.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery, 2950 New Market Road, Richmond, VA 23231
